Woukd to be willing to provide any resources about those specific instances? I'm fully convinced Hitlers regime was doing the right thing, but I haven't as much time for research.

Sorry, but a good place to start is in wikipedia. Despite the heavy bias, they are forced to admit the truth from time to time.

RE France -- I think there is a treasure trove of quotes from General Patton, who noted that the French were happier under the Germans than the Americans.
