You cannot get a single family suburban home for less than $200k in most areas.
I don't think inflation or wages is the issue here. The issue is the housing market is fucked because there's corporate investors and foreign invaders coming in and buying up our housing. People in the west have never spent such a high portion of their income on mediocre housing as they do today.
