If you've ever been to Gilman St (punk club in SF where every band from Green Day to Dead Kennedys played) it's a complete virture signaling hole. They even have some faggoty rules- https://cdn.kqed.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2016/02/gilmanrules.jpg

They added No Transphobia since, which is just fucking disgusting. I love that punk rock has become about upholding the status quo.

It all seemed much more contrarian and rebellious back in the day. Do It Yourself as they once said. We used to make fun of the cliques. 'Hot Topic Punks' was a big diss. Many who went punk rock 24/7 were horrible drug addicts so I tried not to get too much into the scene.

I remember there were realtime skinheads involved in it when I started listening, one of whom appeared later on an HBO documentary. Years later they starting trying to make all cliques acceptable for everyone, which means none of them stood for anything. Jocks, goths, skaters, stoners, punks, all of them just palled around together on all the teen shows so it attracted all these weak people that just selected it as their personality. That was the point everything started getting woke- when every form of rebellion was acceptable and encouraged.

At least kids can be rebels again but you'll really stand out (which is the point). All they have to do is be anti pedophile and satanists.

Oddly enough the Satanists have more drive and backbone than your average conservative. Unfortunately you cannot get the Satanists to go away or shut up. Conservatives will insta-block you on social media at least.
