In this weekly, we consoom the past! The places and moments in our personal lives or historical timeline which evokes a sense of nostalgia of a superior time. We often believe that things were better in the past, but at which period and what exactly seemed better? Is this sense of a better time a delusion waiting to be shattered by some schizoposter? “Um, actually TV sucked then, and it sucks now.” “People have always been censored and banned from platforms so what if it happens on the internet today!” “Don’t you know the government always lied, so what about X event who cares!?” “Mom's spaghetti came from a box and the sauce from a can; it did not taste better!”
  
Discussion ideas:
* Share a past memory or place in history you believe was better than the present day. Explain why you think the past was better.
* The past is important “you can't know where you are going unless you know where you came from”. Do you think nostalgia can have a negative influence on our decision-making and behavior in the present day?
* Do you think the internet distorts or enhances our perception of the past? Why do some people have nostalgic feelings for decades they never lived in?
