Ammunition is chemically stable for decades (when stored correctly, as you described).
The best you can do is inspect each bullet for ANYTHING unusual such as pitting, discoloration, cracks, etc.
I'd recommend you inspect every bullet in each can and look for any sign of degradation and isolate each entire can if you find any indicators of even a single bullet that doesn't pass inspection because of the slightest possible issue.
Clearly mark each can with a red paint pen "FAILED INSPECTION MM/DD/YYYY".
Isolate each bullet that failed inspection together in the manufacturer's bullet box they were purchased in. Use the paint pen to CLEARLY mark the box as containing bullets that failed inspection and return that / those boxes to the can that it was previously stored in.
Ordinarily I'd recommend speaking to a Household hazardous-waste (HHW) facility and organize a time to drop off those suspicious cans. Police stations should also provide a disposal service, but I'd feel weird walking into the enemy camp, the people who protect Antifa and BLM and who were licking their lips at the thought of mandating clot-shots for us all...
...however, given the troubling times we're living through now... I'd keep the well marked cans that contain bullet boxes of bullets that failed inspection in case you need it in an emergency and want to carefully inspect every bullet in those suspicious cans again.
In the near future, you may also become part of a network of militia or "similar" with access to a professional Ordnance Technician who could inspect the failed bullet boxe(s) and the rest of the bullets in those suspicious cans and provide advice.

I keep a 24oz solid claw hammer with a tight synthetic webbing strap (the stuff tie-down / ratchet straps are made from) sewn into the handle and a hammer holder for my belt... just in case I'm out of ammo.
It's heavy and small enough to use indoors (unlike a baseball bat) or when chasing the enemy with a large group of friends in Minecraft.
