When you "recycle", all your plastic gets shipped to countries like India. It's too expensive to sort and melt down here, so it gets sold and shipped off to poorer countries. They sort out what they can use and then THIS is how they dispose of the rest.

Also, if you see any first-hand experiences of India, you'll hear how the air reeks of burning plastic. They burn our plastic for their COOKING GRILLS. Not only is the air quality fucked by burning plastic, but so is all the food.

Don't recycle. Put your plastic garbage in the trash so it can be properly disposed of in a landfill. Only recycle cardboard, glass and metal. Toss everything else.
