Yeah it only works for a tiny percent of people, most truck drivers either quit or waste decades driving trucks.
If you’re going to sacrifice yourself in such a manner, better to do it somewhere where you have a plan. Like I’m going to go to school for 4 years, be poor and do homework all night but after 4 years I’ll have a satisfactory situation and that sacrifice will pay off. As an example.
Sacrificing yourself in this no plan way for money that is constantly losing purchasing power is stupid. The best thing in life is opportunity not money. You won’t be encountering any opportunities inside of a truck. It’s almost negative opportunity.

Amen! This is the absolute truth. The best thing a young man can do is to expand his network. So many successful men in history got the opportunities they had because they knew the right people. So many "unqualified" people are living good lives because they had the right friends. And remember, you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with, so pick your friends wisely.
