First, the very word "jew" is a modern mistranslation that no author of the Bible ever used, especially not Jesus. In Greek, the original language that John was written in, the word for "jews" was Ἰουδαίων, which means "Judean," in the context of the Israelites who stayed behind and witnessed Jesus instead of leaving for Europe and America after Exodus.\
So, we have different kinds of people that the Bible is referring to: Whites (Israelites), jews (Edomites, created when Esau mixed with Canaanites, and the ashkenazi who joined them around 600 AD. And that's basic Christianity set up by Jesus and His Apostles until they jewed it in 1500s to make everyone believe non-Whites can be Christian, which is false. A dog born in a stable isn't a horse, a nigger born in Europe isn't European, a White born in China isn't Chinese, therefore a jew born in Judea isn't Judean. Jesus is of the tribe of Judah as Matthew 1 says, even if He was born in Galilee. That doesn't make Him a jew, since jews are of Esau and Jesus is of Jacob-Israel. So now you know the difference.

Jesus was always considered a Galilean by the jews, and Salvation from the jews is a more accurate translation, which makes more sense.

This is a difficult subject to follow. You really need to discern the speaker's intent and recognize definitions vary with context. Also understand that theology is always under attack, and confusion is as effective as lies.

Jesus was a descendant, via his mother, of Jacob aka. Israel. I assume you understand that Jesus brings salvation, so, therefore, salvation comes through the descendants of Israel.
   
Jew is often used to refer to ancestry (Jacob), religion (Judaism), ethnicity (Yiddish), or nationality (Israeli). Some people will get obsessed with a narrow definition, or dispute translations. Some people will switch definitions in order to confuse or manipulate. Take it with a grain of salt, and don't feed the trolls.
