He is quite negative on race, as far as race realism. I believe he called Shiloh Hendrix "white trash". In my mind he's a 60s liberal Catholic, he simply diverges from the current novus ordo on jews. That's it.

I don't agree with his view that race is a "category of mind" either. He is a product of his time, to a certain extent, but that being said, he is an expert on the Jewish Question, and I have to respect him as a fellow scholar on the issue myself.
