I've always printed my gas receipts and hold onto them for 90 days minimum. Saved me once a decade ago. And when the receipt spool at the pump is depleted I always go inside and request the receipt.

Same here. I always pay cash too. I throw the receipts in my center console box. I usually clean out my interiors of my vehicles once every three months or so.
