His art was never trash. By comparison to the vast majority of people it was very good, just not elite level for classical painting. But he was at that level with regard to architectural design, and is the direction he was pushed towards.

One common narrative is that this is one reason he tried murder the world, or some stupid shit like that.

Personally, I think it fed into his intuitions about how to best help everyone succeed to the best of their abilities

We live in an age where you can't tell people they suck l'est you hurt their feelings. But people need to be told the truth in order to grow.

You can be good at something, really good. But at the same time not good enough.

And that's fine. That's normal.

We all need more learned and wiser people to guide us in the directions that make the best use of our god given abilities, even if they are counter to our dreams. Because on the whole its better, and it is also personally better.

You need to know your lane.
