The studio was buying seats in chunks to make it look like other people were actually buying ticks in order to manipulate gullible normies into buying ticks so they didn't miss out. Sold out theaters were playing to a handful of actual people in the audience.

I've heard "hello, fellow normie" radio DJs act like they saw it, but that's all.
