The saddest part is that they always learn regret, but never feel shame. They don't understand how what they did shames their entire family. If they could feel shame, they might leave the business before they age out of the business, but that's unlikely.
There's a documentary called "Life After Porn" on this subject, with two sequels. I watched the first one, but it was so sad and tragic I can't watch the others.

Her own mother, no *doubt* a self-professed "feminist", "supported" her to do porn becauss she wanted money.
There was nothing wrong with her that a decent upbringing wouldn't have fixed and instead she's ruined her life for money.
