Whites could send their children to public schools and expect them to receive a good education, rifles or no.

Whites could also ride public transportation and walk around at night.

Even back then Whites couldn’t really do that in major cities. The 70s - late 00s had a well documented period of urban decay which saw White people flee and only the dumb ones staying.
