They're out there, but there's also a lot of junk. Even the wooden doors meme is a bit of bunk. Wood can be gas tight "enough", otherwise boats wouldn't work.

The reason these kind of half-baked memes exist is because they're a reaction to the half-baked mainstream narrative. You get this idea that it was just a constant assemblyline of gassings in every camp. But then you find out that it was really only alleged in a few camps, and it was in a very specific and relatively short period of time, and then you look into the methodology, etc. A lot of people stop at the first few points then don't go further.

For example, between the four major crematoria at Auschwitz, there were 46 muffles. 15 each in Krema 2&3, and 8 each in Krema 4&5. Krema 1 was just the small one that was already out of commission by the time Wannasee occured. So scratching off some for Krema 1, with 1.1 million killed at Auschwitz, that's roughly 23,000 bodies per muffle. Then realize that the major kremas were only active from around Spring/Summer 1943 until November of 1944. About a year and a half. Each muffle would have to handle around 42 bodies a day, so it was just over 30 minutes per body. Maybe feasible if you assume the cremation was not complete.

But then you remember this requires the furnaces to be running full blast 24/7 with no downtime for re-bricking or cleaning. Then you remember the volume of coke required to fuel them. Then you remember the actual gassing times required and this calculation assumes the bodies are teleported into the ovens from the gas chamber. Finally you remember that the 1.1 Million number had been revised down several times. Then it seems like someone realized they had a numbers issue, and retroactively calculated the 1.1 million assuming 30 min/muffle from "survivor" testimony, but ignored the rest of the logistics.
