Common implies mixed together, hence the use of common-ism by few to mix many together. Sense implies ones perception of differences aka a separation from one another.

One doesn't need explanation from another...explanations are suggested by few to tempt many into a consensus called "we" aka nosism (from Latin nos 'we')... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nosism
If a singular (one) refers to self as a plural (we); then ones mind gets mixed-up. Race-mixing represents the physical consequence of the underlying mental mix-up.
Btw...it's called mixed UP because we (plural) tempts one (singular) to believe that joining others makes more out of one.
