"Empathy" isn't even part of the equation and I think it's troubling that so many are still so naïve enough as to think that it is. They've been told that straight white men built western civilisation to keep everyone else down and they want to destroy it.

"Empathy" implies a positive trait which has been corrupted. What you actually see is just deliberate malice. It's not about helping, even in a corrupted way. It's about destroying.
