I never said modern jews were the same as jews from Jesus' time. The Bible refers to the jews of Jesus' time as "jews", so I'll call them jews, and I don't care what anyone else has to say on how we should call them.

The person I was responding to was talking about jews, regardless of era. If he was talking about modern jews, I'd probably agree with him, but in his answer, he was clearly referring to all of them.
