That's not how it works. These are algorithms based on logic and math. To call those "artificial intelligence" is misleading, because they are not actual "intelligence." LLMs are just a bunch of sophisticated algorithms operating together using databases and algorithms that parse input.

Normally "AI" is common in games for NPC enemies, for example how units move, how enemies build bases, how they fight, how they behave. These are all subject to algorithms, which boil down to logic and math. It can be as simple as: if range to player is lower than 1000, and if line of sight exists, then attack him by moving towards him according to movement grid and attack when in melee range.

LLMs are like that but more sophisticated. Many people have worked on those for a long time and came up with a model that works, which they replicate everywhere (it won't go far btw, being advanced search engines that are capable of communication is all they'll ever be).
