Problem is (((big companies))) purposefully make their software unavailable on Linux and BSD. I need Photoshop, AutoCAD, Mastercam, Solid works, etc.

That’s what Wine is for, yeah?

That shit is impossible to get working properly. We need a company like Valve to make a good compatibility layer for windows software on Linux like they did with steam games on SteamOS.

It's not hard to dual boot. I essentially have a work partition on my computer for different reasons.

What's the point of dual booting if you still have (((windows))) on your machine?

If windows isn't the active OS it can't report on anything outside of it's segmented memory storage because it's not formatted in a configuration it knows. While you're in the other partition, it can't send any telemetry data, or capture screenshots of your computer and save them to microsoft servers. While you're not booted up in windows, it's an inactive partition/portion of system memory. It can report whatever it wants on my 'work' portion of my computer, but is clueless about files/info on the other side of the partition.

For the things where Wine doesn't do the trick, you can boot Windows in a Virtual Machine; these days GPU sharing etc works flawlessly.

Don’t those run on MacOS?
