The heightened price for an individual Gatorade (or whatever else) is usually just the convenience fee for getting it from the fridge. Usually unrefrigerated bottles are marked down. It's common in general for a pack of water or Gatorade or whatever to not have a barcode and for every bottle to be scanned individually, but the unrefrigerated bottle should have been marked down in the first place.

That being said, where the fuck on the planet is a bottle of Gatorade worth 3.20? You could buy a 15 pack of individually scanned large cans of energy drinks *with* the convenience tax for about 10 dollars less. And energy drinks are usually the most expensive (common) beverage at the gas station. There is not really Gatorade here, but when I was in the US, Gatorade from the fridge costed a little over a dollar and only a bit more than bottled water.

I think this story is either made up or that gas station was smoking fucking Crack. Can't really blame it on the employee tbf

That must've been a long time ago because gatorades and sodas at gas stations are typically $2.79-4.50. Energy drinks are $4-6.50. I stopped somewhere the other day and they had non-refrigerated 12 pack cans of soda for $18. They get away with it because the consumer goyim pay for it.

What the fuck? Well, I can't be too surprised. I moved to Spain right before the scamdemic. Everything has gone up in price here too but not to anywhere near the same severity. However I notice whenever I go to visit family. Just never had a hankering for Gatorade or any of the bottled drinks at the gas station really, so I never noticed or thought about it. But 6-7 years ago it was about a fourth of the price.

costed isn't a word

And yeah soft drinks at convenience stores are more than $2 here these days, and I'm in Appalachia.
