Schools require a grade of like 50-70% to pass. These are incredibly low standards. Where else in society do we think it is exceptable to know only HALF of the required material? The electrician that you trust to not burn down your home, would you accept a 65% grade from him? What about your child's pediatrician?

Do you know what they call the guy who finished LAST at the bottom of his class in medical school?
