The fact that it wasn't put to a vote clearly demonstrates that you don't have any right to vote. You just have a "privilege" to participate in polling on topics of their choosing at their discretion. Whether they count the results is essentially unknown. Obviously, I don't think they do but I can't exactly prove it. All we know is that there is extreme obfuscation and manipulation of voting that is publicly known. How worse it is under the surface is anyone's guess. Vote forecasting/modeling, manipulative timing of the vote, and a general media blackout on factual information is all examples of extreme vote manipulation. The system for passing legislation is even worse.
It's not rocket science.
We essentially live in pretend democracy, the elites are just free to make power moves using our kangaroo courts. That's why you might see a rich man indicted every once in a while. It's not that the kangaroo court works, it's that some rich asshole made a play and lost. Or perhaps he became expandable. Or someone else made a power play and won.
The real question isn't why Africans are allowed to move to Ireland, the real question is what you can do to fight back.
The answer is to become as ungovernable as you can.
