I used to believe people were interchangeable and your purpose in life was to optimize "opportunity". Travelling taught me they're not. If you're around people that make you happy, make you feel that you matter, and safe then there are no greener pastures.

A lot of people scoff at these enclaves, saying why would I want to live around a bunch of white simpletons and be poor with them, when the truth of the matter is the opposite. You're currently living around a bunch of aliens who mean nothing and do nothing for you. You're an animal in a zoo. Around your own you can actually be your natural self. Embrace seeking out your own.
