Why should we "protect minority rights", ever?

*Citizens* have rights because they have responsibilities to the State. What responsibilities do "minorities", specifically, have that they get distinct rights?

What they call minorities are not even that. It's all virtue signaling to pitch the niggers against us. Much in the same way the Vatican excommunicates people that want to take communion on their knees while they give blessings to gay couples. They're milking the dichotomy in the name of communism. Today I talked to a helicopter pilot, former military. He told me he and his friends are totally in to Pinochet these bastards when the time comes. Man I want to learn to fly now so bad.
