The majority of Millenials are doing well.

As far as personal net worth at the same age compared to Boomers or Gen X, Millenials are outpacing both of where those demographics were at age 40.

The bottom third Millenials as in almost every other age demograhic are not doing well.

Not a chance.

A house worth $185,000 in 1985 is worth $3mil in 2025.

So if the "net worth" of a Boomer back in '85 is $200,000, and a Millenial's in 2025 is $1 million, the Boomer is still worth *three times as much as the Millenial*.

You are now inventing your own facts.
The average net worth of a middle-aged Boomer in 1985 averaged $62,000.

The average house nationwide worth $185k in 1985 would be worth far more today as the average house in the U.S. in 1985 was only $82.8k, but unless it is in a coastal city there is zero chance it is worth $3 Million.

The house I bought in 1981 for $80k right now in a good neighborhood with a good school system is worth $285k.

I couldn't build it for twice that.

I'm a millennial. Most everyone I know my age owns a house and has a career. It's about discipline.

Oh son. How cynical you must be to think that there is no path forward.

It is literally 5x harder to buy a house now than it was 40 years ago.

Sure, sure, NAXALT and all, but if everyone you know did everything exactly the same, they could own *five* houses back then, which means the people back then that could only afford *one* house would be taking government assistance today.

You're correct, but I'm correct also.
