They do this in an attempt to gain a following get paid by a journalist for an interview or YT clicks or to sell glass baubles or some other such grift.

The difference is the street magician knows his life has value whereas the jeets will risk their worthless lives doing almost anything for a buck.

For example, jeets ride on the top of trains to save $0.08 on a ticket in the understanding if they die along the way, nothing of value was lost.
