Here's the video of him talking about it, and his experiences in the state/prison level of mental wards and schizophrenia. I listed to this video (quite good), and the reason I did is because I believe I deal with the same issues, at least from a personal/split personality level (I think it's more a defensive mechanism from my EXTREMELY rough childhood).

It's about a hour and a half, but worth the watch.

I read the Screwtape Letters a few days ago and I liked it but was kind of skeptical about what kind of influence demons would actually have on people. After watching this video it actually lines up pretty accurately thougg. One thing in the book I thought was interesting was that the demons are advised not to convince people that anything spiritual actually exists unless they think it’s worth it - reminds me in the video how most people just think schizophrenia is hallucinations but the people themselves think otherwise.

Ultimately I guess it doesn’t make a huge difference because either way we should take every thought captive
