I don't see any reason this hypothrtical vigilante would want to take the camera with them. Its a liability. Farday bags aren't perfect. I think what they would want to do is: no phone, bland clothing, face covered. Get it down from behind, smash it with a 3lb sledge and leave it. They wouldnt want to use fire as it could lead it to be treated as arson. Its modern technology so its not like anyone's going to repair it. They would probably clear the area immediately taking a scenic route through woods or another area without camera coverage. Since they would know that the camera will call for help when disturbed.
