In the case above, I think the Hindu is drinking "milk and honey" with the rats at the Rat Temple, Karni Mata. Apparently some Hindus believe that people are often reincarnated in to rats. Rats are seen as animals who live in abundance. Rodents always maintain a stockpile of food hidden away.
