I can only assume it is of little importance.
What are people going to do with this?
Build their own factories and supply chains for the components ( good luck during the RAMpocalypse, storage is almost as badly impacted now ) to make these chips, only to have them potentially perform to similar levels as every other big names manufacturers?
By the time they are done with development, Apple released 2 new phones.
Appletard costumers will still only go to Apple to pay a premium for it. So the counterfeit will be competing with every other brand below the Apple Tax bracket. Unless they try to claim to sell real Apple phones / tablets and get their expensive merch confiscated.
Do phones manufacturers have such large profit margins that they could be undercut at a profit with this?
And I will partly backtrack on a point above : previous gen phone chips at huge discounts, stripped of their mobile/phone part, are routinely repurposed for other devices in lucrative Chinese industries. ( Usually with a custom Android install. )
Like gaming handhelds for emulation. ( ARM chips are extremely power efficient / output less heat ).
This could be mildly interesting. If only just for "lol fuck Apple".
