I hate how people think just because we have technology that we live in the most advanced time but no one could build buildings like that today. We have technology but our architecture sucks compared to what germans could build from 1500-1900

Those buildings are incredible in low resolution from far away. Imagine up close all the labor and time and attention to detail to carve all that stone and build those steeples and all the decor and hand made details on the buildings and masonry skills that defy gravity. Today you just get spics shooting too many nails into cheap pine wood from pine trees that weren't even 20 years old, soft wood that just rots or gets eaten like Swiss cheese by termites.

Old buildings I worked in the wood was so dense that there was no way a termite could eat it. A battery powered saw won't even cut it. You need at least 15 amps on a 20 amp circuit with a new blade and one of the more expensive old school Milwaukee saws to try to even cut into the frame of a home built 150-200 years ago. Lumber like that you can't even buy today
