This truly seems like something nothing anyone wants:

not shocked neocon-dispensationalists who thirst for the blood of Iranians

not all the people who didn't want this conflict in the first place

Is this just some exorbitant bribe/payoff to make this foreign policy mistake go away?

How does this support Israel?

Explain the geopolitics if you will and enlighten my ignorance

Take another step back. He doesn’t believe anything he has done is a mistake and couldn’t care less about election cycles. Now it makes more sense.
