I said the same thing about AI 25 years ago. Even before FFVII: Advent Children. I was watching The X-Files, no particular episode, high as fuck (probably) on the pot, and I wrote in a journal that in my lifetime we'd be unable to differentiate humans on film from computer-generated content. At which point I realized not only actors would become obsolete, but even writers and directors.
I'm not saying this to boast of my intelligence or knack with foretelling, but to point out that the average +100 IQ person saw this coming years ago. The first time one saw Jar-Jar Binks dance or walk alongside Qui-Gon Jin, they should've seen the writing on the wall.
