- public figures in their communities, which means that there are a lot of eyes on them
- members of an organization that is highly concerned with maintaining its image of moral superiority, to the point of using corrupt coverups
- representatives of a religion and culture that leftists hate, which means media has been weaponized against them
That's literally it. Compare the average priest to the average teacher? Teachers are worse. Compare to the average homosexual? Worse. Average redditor? Probably worse. Brown immigrant? Way worse. I'm not trying to downplay the problem, but certain people intentionally made out priests to be the boogeyman and it's very obvious why.
