What does success mean anyways?
To me a successful woman is one who is married, chose a good husband, and had children and is a good mother. Has nothing to do with college or a career.
A successful man is one who has a beautiful loyal wife and many children and a healthy marriage and family and well raised children. For a man success might also be harnessing his craft.
The devil might try to convince you success means something else
In general, you are exactly correct. If things were fine, that would be the perfect thing to aspire to. As it is, he's right. We need more institutional power.
That is doing what you can to ensure the best chances of reproduction for your children and grandchildren.
