Oh, finally someone else on here who knows his bible translations.

I would also recommend The Orthodox Study Bible. It uses the Septuagint not the Masoretic texts as the primary source for the translation but translated it in the New King James Version style.

Also, the Lexham English Vulgate is good to have alongside the Douay-Rheims for better readability/understanding.

Combining all three gives you the best results.

Do you have a physical or digital copy and is the physical a reprint in modern times? How do we know any modern 1828 editions are actually reflective of the true original without a true original? The original costs $25k. It would be interesting to see if the online duplications actually match the original.
