In many cases, the parents are told their child has some sort of defect such as downs syndrome. Idk the statistics, but it's very common among pro-life speakers who've been through the process to talk about how their unborn children were *diagnosed* with all sorts of ailments very early on and how they were told to "abort" because of this or that; but they instead ultimately birthed a healthy child. There are dozens, maybe hundreds of examples of women speaking out about this specific thing: having their unborn children misdiagnosed and then encouraged to terminate their pregnancy because of it, and later learning that the child is healthy.

So do you see the problem?
