$20 billion sounds like an extremely low number for three months of warfare on the other side of the planet.

$20 billion probably doesn't even cover the cost of the lost aircraft and Ships. Then factor in all the damage by Iran to our bases, which is probably hundreds of billions of dollars. The lost lives which are priceless if it was your brother or your son who died at some satellite base near Iran in a missile strike. Then no cost can replace your son or your brother who you thought would be done with his 4 year stint and cashing in his G.I. bill for free college. Then factor in the huge increase in cost to all Americans for fuel, the inflation that will not come back down because it never does. The increased cost for food. The extra $25 you spend at the gas pump every single time you fuel up. The cost of all the missiles and ammunition alone probably adds up to $20 billion. Then count in all the cost of the pensions and benefits and salaries of the full time soldiers and life time career military bureaucrats you have to pay for who double dip and get paid double for PTSD or practically anything that qualifies for extra disability payments which totals hundreds of billions of dollars over time.
