At this point anyone who complains about ai is the same as the people who claim aliens are beaming thoughts into their heads.

When I was a kid, I would go with my dad to the hardware store when he needed parts to fix something. There is currently no locally-owned hardware store in my town. A lot of people get everything they need from Amazon.
The problem is **not** that the stuff I get from Amazon is inferior to what my dad got from the local hardware store. The problem is not that **I'm** personally worse off than my dad because of Amazon. The problem is that, without any debate, and without really understanding what we were doing, we gave all this power to Amazon. We sliced off a little piece of our local economy and gifted it to a giant corporation that abuses employees - makes them pee in bottles, tracks them like slaves, wont let them unionize ...uses its profits to support social causes I hate - there's just a lot of indirect harm that's a result of this decision to kill off hardware stores (and that's just one example) and raise of Amazon.
AI is going to be a lot like that. It's going to carve out little bits of your local town, your local economy, and outsource them to a giant corporation that hates you.
Worse, the same tech that runs AI for you can also run AI for governments and corporations to track and control you. It'll be used to censor what you see. For example, right now today when a black person murders a white person, the news media downplays it, but you can still usually find those stories. In the future, a perfect SJW AI will make it so that you never find them!
And there's no evidence this time will be any different.
Market forces, meaning the people going to the market like the convenience offered by these changes.
Supermarkets were a grand idea because a single store that sold 90% of what people needed meant they didn't have to spend an entire day shopping by going to a dozen different places, they could go to K-Mart, Walmart, Target, and save a ton of time, which meant less gas spent driving around, less money management now you didn't have to track all your purchases across multiple stores, and then the greater savings because if I'm a small store I need to care about my profit margins at all times. But if I'm going to sell a million of these anyway, I can lower my margins and make up for it with bulk and that means I can sell cheaper.
Amazon coming around just offered an even better option that people didn't even have to leave their homes.
And sure it's got a lot of negatives, fucking everything does. But a lot of those negatives people complain about are completely made up.
Like you said, "Won't let them unionize"
It's against the law to stop people from unionizing. And people at different warehouses have tried that for well over a decade now, it never caught on not because Amazon squashes them, they don't need to. It's because the unions are retarded and the average worker can see it doesn't benefit them at all to bother. Even they realize that the union would never have any real power, because the company is just going to do what they want anyway because the only people complaining are low-skilled laborers who can be replaced by next week if they do try to strike. And once they realized that, then all the union becomes is a group of useless people that you give part of your paycheck to for no benefit.
And it's pretty fucking evident how useless unions are. Any industry that has them still has all the same problems that non-union industries have, on top of a bunch of other issues.
That's why right now one of the bigger pushes is to ban Public Sector Unions, like Teacher's Union because the kid's educations are completely fucked by a bunch of danger haired lesbos who hate white men. Illiteracy rates are higher than ever, and one could just point to unchecked third world migrants flooding schools with their spawn as the sole cause of it, but even then the teachers should be able to get most people to a bare minimum level of education and they can't even accomplish that. All while crying they need higher budgets. It's ridiculous that somehow children can't be taught how to do basic math or reading skills, shit that only takes a piece of paper and pencil for them to practice, and they still can't do that.
AI doesn't need to do anything to control what people see, people do that to themselves just fine.
All this Anti-AI nonsense is just a bunch of idiots who scream at new technology as the devil without recognizing that happens every decade.
They did this with the internet, that the governments would control everything and you'll never find the truth. The fact that people post shit that runs counter to the government all the time and regularly link to things they think are the truth is pretty damning evidence that didn't happen.
Photoshop will make it impossible for evidence to be used in court, because everything will be fake. Turns out that was also not the case and people are pretty able to identity when something is fake and gay.
Basically, everyone claims everything will be the end of the world from Nuclear Energy all the way down to the invention of the wheel, as we're all still here it's pretty much 0-9032421434 so I'll take my chances this AI shit doesn't manage to get the win either.
