Minimum wage today would have to be about $70 per hour to keep up with inflation if we were still paid $1.25 per hour in silver coins. That's almost an ounce of silver per hour.
+ $1.25 in 1964 is $13.35 today based on inflation.
+ Not all money was silver. People were also paid with paper bills, pennies, & nickels.
