Honestly more prophetic than originally expected, and I'd seen passages of it here before.

It's a little more generous with the assumption of values for the third worlders than anyone here would be, but not by much. And much harsher against the suicidally empathetic in Europe and America. I consider that a positive

Not exactly a happy story, but reality seldom is

Solid 10/10. Cannot recommend enough. Everyone should read it

I headcannon Camp of the Saints as a prequel to The Turner Diaries.

I came here to recommend Turner Diaries to OP. They're a good back to back read.

That one is on my list too. I heard it isn't as good

I'd say it's pulp-ier. If you want a hopeful ending to cleanse your palate, it's not a bad choice.

Glad people are discovering it. I grabbed a copy while they still had them on Amazon and I’m happy I did.

What new ideas or revelations did you come to while reading it?

Any topics or blind spots that haven't been brought up in discussions on this forum?

Still working my way through it but what instantly stands out is how accurate it is to everything going on in Europe today now despite being written in the 70’s. The main disconnect I have with it as a modern reader is everything that happens in it is the result of misplaced altruism. The European government, military and the Catholic church let all the shitskins flood over France because they feel guilty. It hasn’t brought up any kind of ulterior motives that you would find behind a modern take on the refugee crisis.

I don’t know how much new a regular poster here would get out of it besides an appreciation for how accurate it portrays both pajeets and the cucks that enable them. It should be required reading for normies though as I think it provides a good entry point for discussing suicidal altruism.

I don't think it's suicidal altruism. People do not subscribe to get raped and murdered by niggers and shitskins, and have it happen to their friends and families, to be burdened by having to live with them, and to live in an ever increasing dystopia forever. It's delusion caused by the ideology of "equality", in combination with pure ignorance and non-thinking (which are prerequisite).

It's an epidemic of delusion and ignorance. Our biggest problems are literal idiots. Not just people who don't know better, but people who think they know better and exert energy and votes to capitalize on that. It's is the type of mentality I hate the most in all people - the combination of arrogance, ignorance and closed-mindedness. Arrogance alone is fine, ignorance is inevitable, closed-mindedness is fine - people can have convictions. Combine all 3, and you get a terrible combination.

very nice, what do you think the book’s core principles are, and how would you apply them in real life?

Most of the book was just repeating "don't build the torment engine" over and over again in different ways. Aka a bunch of different Europeans with maladapted empathy and the results of that decision tree. I'm already there. But it did give me a blueprint for a few different types of looser thinking that I can look for in other arguments
