they don't "just" hate white people, but these murals implicitly make a "racist argument" that "black people are move violent" (statistically true)
Vandals are likely non-whites who ally against "racism" in symbolically attacking the mural for some kind of "anti-racist statement", or white people who psychologically feel inferior and have turned against their race ("self-hating white people") and lash out to similarly show their "solidarity" with the non-whites
