Consume Product

To be fair, I don't really expect modern computer game developers to have solutions for modern gaming problems. When you start analyzing the problems, you'll realize that many of the problems stem from the players themselves. Gaming went from a passtime for 115+ IQ White male nerds to something even 80 IQ female sluts do. The market is so fragmented now that only hobby developers have a chance at making something good because if any for-profit company tried to cater specifically to 115+ IQ White males, they'd never get investors because of the high-risk of taking losses which means it switches back to "sweat equity" aka a hobby development project but the resource cost is so astronomical that most people don't have the time (since they have their day job) and hardly anyone cares enough to pour their own money into it (though some of tried and just lost it) so they ask for donations and then we end up with vaporware (usually) cause the get rich quick scheme leads them to milking this process.

In the end, the gamers who're still around probably don't care about developers fixing modern gaming problems and are content with modern games so long as the characters at least look good. I totally get that sentiment too.
