Some notes on this:

I think the author is a feminist professor so I won't sign off on all that's being said here

But I was surprised at how many of the same issues seemed to exist a half century (!) ago that exist today, or are in a much worse state, with education and employment

The problem is over-regulation of schooling via accreditation and industries by requiring licenses for certain jobs

In essence, you should be able to spin up your own school and work as a doctor, lawyer, or engineer if you want, without any required licenses (!), in a free market

We are so very far away from that "pure capitalism" and are facing as a result doctor shortages and costs of things going up (whether it is education or goods) and quality of things going down on many products
