The social advantage of two parents came with fire. We couldnt make it, but we could *keep it going*. The hearth master used the fire to make food, medicine, light, warmth, clothing, etc. The hunter went out to gather the things to use at the fire. The children were cared for better and multiple generations could add to the fires benefit.
