Solving the strait is easy.

- Sign a defensive pact with Iran that if Israel attacks Iran the USA will defend Iran and specifically say if Israel nukes Iran then the USA will nuke Israel
- Remove all trade sanctions against Iran

In exchange, Iran will stop financing terrorism against the USA and any other country for that matter, they will open the strait and as a token of goodwill, Iran will use American companies for the rebuilding process while the USA will invest some foreign capital into Iran for the rebuilding process from the last war.

Voila, simple stuff. The problem is Israel though. Israel is the barrier to peace.
