They are not human. Therefore their males aren't "men", just as male dogs aren't "men" either, and their females aren't "women." A "child" is a human infant, thus they have offspring or litters. And they aren't "people", as we don't refer to dogs as "people" either.
And this does not have the purpose to denigrate or insult them - I have a dog and I do not consider her a "woman" or "people" either. Being bipedal is not enough to change that.
