I honestly have no idea why people keep saying this. They will never be released and no one cares. No one cared before the war, no one cares now, and no one will care in 19 years when the war is over. There was no effort to “release” them between their announcement and the start of the war. No protests, no disobedience, no attacks in government officials; nothing.

They released what they did because they know they’re invincible. It existed to taunt the cattle.
