I still put the assassination at a non zero chance, and honestly even 50/50. Ever since it became obvious in mid 2024 that Trump would be allowed back into the Whitehouse to do the Israel wars, I have expected it. Despite Trump's bullshit insisting otherwise, MAGA was always about non interventionism, and despite the liberal media bullshit, most of Trump's voters were not cultists (just see his failure to sell them the vaccine).

So if Trump was put back in so he could lead White America into some big war in the Middle East, but he is unable to sell the war, and as it looks more and more likely now, he is unable to get a "quick win" by threats and decapitation in Iran, what option does that leave? That is why I still expect them to try the assassination ploy to turn Trump into a martyr and say "we have to overthrow Iran because they killed our president" or whatever.

Also, with Trump's cratering support, this tactic has a finite practicable time frame. If they are going to try the "make a martyr out of him" route, they are going to have to pull the trigger (no pun intended) soon. We are probably a month or so from the point that most of America won't care at all. Honestly, we might be there already. Trump better hope the rumors about his being part jewish are true.
